2nd March 2004

STAFF at the Jackson Building Centres in Sutton are celebrating after achieving a top five placing in a nationwide competition.
Over 150 builders merchants across the UK took part in a contest run by building block specialist Thermalite. The Thermalite Independent Premier Stockists Scheme saw the nation’s top performing builders merchants battling it out throughout 2003.
Thermalite challenged stockists to build up points towards an annual sales target. Points were awarded for stock ordered, with bonus points on offer throughout the year. The UK’s top five performers won vouchers towards an ‘experience day’ for staff, such as hot air ballooning, motor racing and pampering.
The Jackson Building Centres in Sutton exceeded its 1,000 points target last year, achieving a grand total of 2,084 points. The result earned the branch fifth place overall and £1,000 in vouchers to spend on a special day for staff.
Thermalite marketing channel manager Jayne Arkell says: “The Sutton branch of Jackson’s was a star performer, more than doubling its annual points target. The centre does an excellent job in promoting our products. The staff thoroughly deserve to be rewarded for all their hard work.”
Thermalite is an aircrete building block system for housing and commercial applications. Thermalite’s extensive product range for walls, floors and foundations is lightweight and thermally efficient and is available from all Jackson Building Centres.
