NEW JACKSON BRANCH OPENS FOR BUSINESS AT LOUTH

10th July 2004

Louth Store Opens

A BUILDERS’ merchants has opened its 20th branch as part of a continued expansion throughout the East Midlands.

An aeroplane circled the region to mark the opening of Jackson Building Centres’ new branch at Louth which provides a one-stop shop for trade and retail customers.

The depot, on the Fairfield Industrial Estate, stocks a wide range of items such as plumbing and heating supplies, building materials, timber - including a cutting service - landscaping, ironmongery and decorating products. There is also a bathroom and kitchen showroom and an outdoor patio display.

Jackson’s has invested more than £1.3 million in the branch which has created 14 new jobs. Manager Les Bratton, who formerly worked at Grimsby, said there had been a lot of interest in the Louth outlet.

“What is particularly encouraging is the high number of requests we have received from customers who want to open accounts with us,” he said. “Some of them came along to enquire before we’d even finished building the branch."

Jackson’s organised a special competition on the opening day and five lucky customers have won a variety of prizes including England football shirts, a meal for two and health and beauty treatment.

The Louth branch can be contacted on 01507 351280 and is open from 7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 8am until noon on Saturdays.
