JACKSON BUILDING CENTRES is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Laidler to its Executive Board.
Robin’s main role will be Operations Director responsible for the Skegness, Spilsby, Boston, Spalding, Stamford, Oakham, Corby and Horncastle branches, health and safety and Jakvision, the company’s specialist CCTV division. He will be based at Jackson’s head office in Lincoln.
Robin joined the company in 1976 as a member of the first year of the Management Trainee Scheme. He then moved into the Lincoln heating department and in 1981 moved to Grantham branch as sales representative. He was promoted to assistant branch manager at Gainsborough in 1984 before assuming the branch manager’s role in 1992. Since that time Gainsborough has been one of the most consistently successful branches in the group.
“Having worked for Jackson Building Centres for my entire career, being appointed to the Executive Board is a fulfilment of a long held ambition. I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and supporting the branch managers in the Eastern and Southern region to further build upon the success they have achieved so far,” said Robin.
Sue Knight, joint managing director, said: “We congratulate Robin on his achievement and are sure that the whole company will join us in wishing him well with his new responsibilities.”
Gary Speck has succeeded Robin as branch manager at Gainsbrough. Gary was promoted from his position as sales representative at the branch and has a lot of experience in the Gainsborough area and a long-standing relationship with many customers.
