JACKSON’S MAKES NEW ROOFING APPOINTMENT

A LINCOLN-based builders’ merchant has strengthened one of its core areas of business with the appointment of a new group roofing estimator.
Bill Crozier has taken up the post at Jackson Building Centres as part of a team responsible for dealing with all roofing plans submitted by customers of the company’s 20 branches.
Bill, 40, initially joined Jackson’s Lincoln branch eight years ago as a relief lorry driver after spending 14 years in the army. He then worked in the plumbing and heating department before moving to the transport section as a supervisor. He spent two years in roofing sales, becoming assistant manager of the department, before taking up his latest post.
Based at the company’s dedicated roofing centre in Lincoln, Bill, who lives in Branston, described his new role as one of the best jobs he had ever had. “I really look forward to going in each day,” he said. “It’s extremely busy but very interesting and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.”
Jackson’s has branches throughout the East Midlands and South Yorkshire and roofing supplies are a major part of its business. The roofing centre features hands on displays to demonstrate the construction process and there is also a tile library in the yard to show customers how different tiles will look.
Each branch has a wide selection of items and equipment to cater for a host of building needs ranging from minor DIY jobs to major construction projects. Among the items stocked are heating supplies, building materials, timber, landscaping and decorating products. Jackson’s also has kitchen, bathroom and fireplace showrooms displaying products from leading manufacturers. Some branches even offer the option of power tool hire as part of the company’s one-stop shop service to ensure customers are fully equipped to carry out the job.
