JACKSON’S LATEST ACQUISITION

Jackson Building Centres has recently reached agreement to buy the share capital of K W Davis Builders Merchant in Market Rasen.
Jackson’s, which currently has 20 branches in the East Midlands, has been in negotiations with the shareholders for several months.
An agreement was reached to with the previous owners and contracts were exchanged and completed on 7th April. The branch, which has an annual turnover of £2m will become part of Jackson’s northern division and will be overseen by Roger Francis, as operations director (northern).
The acquisition comes as part of an ongoing investment programme by Jackson Building Centres to develop and expand the business, which has included refurbishment at many of the group’s branches including Skegness, Horncastle and Gainsborough, as well as completion of the purpose-built Swinton branch in South Yorkshire and improvements to the Sleaford centre.
