NEW JACKSON BRANCH OPENS FOR BUSINESS AT HYKEHAM
2nd July 2007
A NEW branch of Jackson Building Centres will open for business in Hykeham on Monday 30th April, creating new jobs and increasing the number of Jackson controlled outlets to 25.
The branch, on Boundary Lane in South Hykeham, is situated no more than half a mile from the southern end of the Lincoln bypass and is perfectly placed to serve customers who are looking to avoid the city’s congestion.
Occupying a small 1 ¼ acre site and employing just 4 staff, the branch will act as a satellite branch to Jackson’s main Lincoln branch. It will stock a range of items such as plumbing and heating supplies, building materials, timber, landscaping, ironmongery and decorating products and will cater for the needs of both private and trade customers.
Dave Treasure, former building manager at Lincoln, will manage the Hykeham branch and is looking forward to working closely with Andy Williams, branch manager at Lincoln to serve the local community.
Jackson’s Marketing Manager Colin Bartleet said: “This is a very exciting time for the company as it continues to grow and expand. The opening of the Hykeham branch reflects the demands of our customers, who are wanting to make a quick, easy access stop to pick up materials and supplies without having to come right into the city centre. We are delighted be able to offer our customers in Lincoln areas an increased service. “
Jackson Building Centres, as part of the Grafton Group plc, is continuing to invest in and develop the business, which has included three acquisitions in last few months, and improvements at many of the Group’s branches, including a major refurbishment of the company’s showroom in Lincoln.
